Instructions:

For the homemade liver pâté, soak the liver in 250 ml of milk for about 30 minutes.

Peel and coarsely chop the onion, put it through a meat grinder with the liver, 200 g of bacon and the anchovy fillets. Melt butter, sweat flour in it and pour the rest of the milk, stirring constantly.

Cook for 10 minutes, then stir in the liver mixture, followed by the egg. Season with salt, pepper, thyme and oregano or marjoram. Stir in the aquavit. Cut the remaining bacon into thin slices.

Preheat oven to 180°C-200°C. Line the bottom and sides of a baking dish with the bacon slices. Pour in the liver mixture. Pour some water into a large roasting pan or roaster. Put the pie dish in it, it should stand with 1/3 water. Bake for about 70 minutes.

Let it cool down in the form and serve the homemade liver pâté.
