Instructions:

Pasta dishes are always a good idea!

Knead a dough from water, flour, egg, oil and a pinch of salt, wrap in cling film and rest for 1 hour. Later, roll out thinly with a pasta machine or possibly a pasta walker.

For the filling, mix poppy seeds with curd cheese, egg yolks and nuts. Season with vanilla sugar, a little bit of juice of a lemon, powdered sugar, lemon zest and rum.

Cut out circles of 8 cm ø from the dough. Put a teaspoon of poppy seed filling on each, brush the edge with egg yolk, cover with a sheet of dough and press the edges firmly smooth.

Pit the cherries and marinate them with the juice of one lemon and powdered sugar.

Cook the poppy seed noodles in boiling water with a little salt for 2-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, arrange on a plate and sprinkle with hot butter, cinnamon and powdered sugar. Serve with the cherry compote.
