Using a sharp kitchen knife, remove the peel from the oranges along with the white skin, just like an apple. Next, cut the slices from the separating skins, working over a baking dish to catch any juice that escapes. Squeeze the juice well from the remaining separating skins as well.

Squeeze the juice from the lime and add to the orange juice form.

Peel the bananas and cut them into thirds or quarters, depending on their size. Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the bananas in it.

Sprinkle with sugar and vanilla sugar, add the orange slices, the orange-lime juice and the rum, bring to the boil and cook for 3 minutes at high temperature. Pour the juice over the fruit regularly. Bring to the table immediately hot.

If desired, serve with vanilla or coconut ice cream.
