For the apple strudel, mix flour with baking powder, sift into a large baking bowl and sprinkle the sugar on top. Form a bulge and pour in eggs, salt, butter, flavoring and knead into a smooth dough.

Divide dough in half and roll out each part on a dish hangl not too thin.

Grate apples and spread evenly on dough halves.

Sprinkle vanilla sugar, raisins, grated almond kernels and cinnamon and beat both parts together and form into a roll, press dough ends together and place on a greased baking tray.

Bake in the preheated oven at 200 °C for about 60 minutes. Afterwards sprinkle with powdered sugar.
