Knead all ingredients together, leave to rise for an hour.
Then braid a plait and let rest again for about 20 minutes.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with almond flakes or hail sugar.
Then place the Striezel in the oven at 180 °C for approx. 25 minutes.
Preparation Tip:
We often prepare the Striezel in the evening and bake it in the morning, works great.
