Preheat the oven to 40 °C. Mix lukewarm water with sugar, yeast and a tablespoon of flour to a damp and let it rise in the oven.

Mix flour with salt, bread spices, oat flakes and sunflower seeds. Mix the finished dampfl with the remaining ingredients and knead into an even, somewhat sticky dough (add a little water or flour if necessary).

Let the dough rise for about half an hour and knead it down twice. Form a loaf or small rolls and let rise again for 15 minutes.

Brush with water and bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 40 minutes (depending on size).

Take them out, let them cool down a bit and enjoy them while they are still warm.

Preparation Tip:

The bread tastes best simply spread with butter. Instead of sunflower seeds you can also use other seeds, kernels, as well as nuts chopped.
