For the Italian meat salad, cut the salami into 2 mm strips, cut the meat into thin strips. Cut onion into rings and pickled gherkins into fine leaves, chop parsley finely.

Mix olive oil with vinegar, salt and pepper until smooth, add to the chopped ingredients and leave in the refrigerator for two hours.

Peel apples, cut into quarters, remove core, cut into fine wedges and sprinkle with lemon juice. Lay out salad plate with apple wedges and arrange salad on top.
