For the Insalata Caprese, cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into slices and place them alternately on a platter.
Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil and a little balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle with fresh basil.
Preparation Tip:
The Insalata Caprese can be varied wonderfully. Instead of basil, you can simply use fresh arugula, instead of tomatoes peeled red peppers.
