A cake recipe for all foodies:
Cream the butter with the crumbled marzipan until thick and creamy. Separate the eggs. Stir the egg yolks, vanilla sugar and lemon sugar into the butter-marzipan mixture. Whip the egg whites until thick and creamy and add the sugar – carefully fold in the snow. Sift together the flour, cornstarch and baking powder and fold in. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan and bake at 175-200 degrees for about 50 minutes.
Cool the cake on a rack. Let the glaze melt and cover the cooled cake with it. Finally decorate with powdered sugar. (hjp)
