Instructions:

Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices, the ham into thin strips.

Butter a baking dish and layer the potato and ham slices like roof tiles.

Sprinkle with cheese and season with salt and pepper.

For the glaze, mix sour cream with milk and eggs until smooth, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Pour this mixture over the gratin, cover with aluminum foil and bake at 200 °C hot air for 40 minutes.

Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

For the gratin you can use any ham of your choice. Bacon also gives it an additional fine spicy touch.
